The aim of the SAHE Bachelor of Business program is to provide students with the broad and coherent knowledge and competencies necessary to develop critical, analytical and evaluative skills essential for a fulfilling an effective career in business.
The Bachelor of Business (Information Systems Major) provides students with the broad and coherent knowledge and competencies necessary to develop critical, analytical and evaluative skills of an IT professional. The program will cover all major IT area with students participating in team projects and developing solutions to real-world problems based on real organisations in the business world.
Upon graduation, students will have established technical competence and a solid ability to interpret information to solve workplace problems, which is essential for every business regardless of the industry. Successful completion of the Bachelor of Business (Information Systems Major) may qualify for entry towards a range of Postgraduate programs or other program that requires Bachelor of Business as an entry requirement with an alternative higher education provider in Australia.
As part of their specialisation study, SAHE graduates of Bachelor of Business (Information Systems Major) is structured to meet the prerequisites for eligibility to apply for the membership of professional bodies in their area, such as the Australian Computer Society.
It is expected that all SAHE graduates will:
24 Units must be completed
12 credit points (cps) per unit
288 credit points to complete the Bachelor of Business program
8 first-year common core units
11 accounting specialisation / major units
5 elective units

All applicants (domestic and international) must be 18 or older at the time of enrolment to SAHE undergraduate programs.
Domestic Students
Domestic students must meet any one of the following minimum academic entry requirements to be eligible for admissions in the Academy’s undergraduate programs:
completion of Year 12- Secondary Education with attainment of a minimum 60 ATAR or equivalent;
successful completion of approved higher education study, including approved preparation courses e.g., Tertiary Preparation Program or Tertiary Orientation Program or equivalent, 1 year of university studies, Certificate IV, or a Foundation Year Program through an accredited institution of higher education offered at:
International Students
International students must meet any one of the following minimum academic entry requirements to be eligible for admissions in the Academy’s undergraduate programs IN ADDITION to meeting minimum English Language requirements:
Students may be admitted based on Recognition of Prior Learning or relevant employment history. The Academy will assess those admission applications based on the professional skills, and duration and relevance of work experience. SAHE may require referee reports for entry based on criteria in this category.
Mature Age Applicants
Mature age applicants who do not meet the minimum entry requirements of the Academy may be eligible for admissions if:
Mature age applicants will be assessed on either recent academic achievement (e.g., Special Tertiary Admissions Test (STAT) or on recent work experience. Decisions will also be based on skills and likelihood to succeed with tertiary study. The offer will be made only if the Dean is assured the applicant has a reasonable expectation to succeed in the program on the basis of their portfolio submission.

1. Prior Education in English
a. Successful completion of one year of tertiary study in Australia (Diploma, Foundation or Higher Education);
b. Successful completion of a Certificate IV in a related field at an Australian institution;
c. Successful completing of the International Baccalaureate (IB) English B Standard Level grade 5 or above, English Higher Level (A1 or A2) grade 4 or above;
d. Students from the English Speaking countries who have citizenship or permanent long-term residency (minimum ten years) or have completed senior secondary study or at least one year of full-time university study in one of these countries and the language in which the qualification was undertaken was English
2. Proof of English Language standard through English Language Test results
a. English language proficiency test results must have been attained no more than two years before the date of application.

3. Completion of English language courses
a. Applicants can demonstrate proficiency in English if they have completed English Language Intensive Course for Overseas Students (ELICOS) program with an accredited provider before being admitted to the Academy. Certificates of competency must be shown.
b. International students without the required level of English at the time of application will be required to satisfactorily complete an appropriate English Language Intensive Course for Overseas Students (ELICOS) program with an accredited provider before being admitted to the Academy.

Students may apply for recognition of prior learning in respect of study undertaken in the previous 5 years for learning relevant the degree. Students must fill out the recognition of Prior learning form and ensure all needed supporting evidence is provided.
The maximum amount of credit which normally applies for prior studies assessed as comparable and equivalent to the program is fixed. The actual credit granted may be less than the maximum possible if the prior studies do not match core units or are not assessed as comparable and equivalent. The prior study gained at and below Certificate IV levels is not considered comparable and equivalent.

Advanced Diploma in a cognate field of study 8 – 10 units
Associate Degree in a cognate field of study 8 – 10 units
